Crucial Reggae From Outside Jamaica Vol. 2

"Crucial Reggae From Outside Jamaica Vol. 2" is the latest compilation on Skank
Records. Since it's on my own label and I personally chose the music, you may
think I'm biased (and I probably am) but believe me when I say that it is another
absolute killer compilation.
I once again picked some of my favorite tunes and
I truly feel the result is every bit as strong as the first one.
Groundation kicks things off with a fantastic opening tune,
"Praising" (featuring the harmonies of Apple Gabriel), and from there it's a crucial mix of just over one hour of outstanding tracks, featuring the following artists:
Rocky Dawuni, Mongoose, Danny I, Nasio Fontaine, Identity, Inner Visions, Sheriff Ghale,
Jahson, Zion Judah, Ossie Dellimore and Bambu Station.
As was the case with the first cd, each artist again hails "from outside Jamaica."
This time they're from Ghana, St. Croix, Canada, Dominica, St. Lucia, St. John,
St. Thomas, Trinidad, St. Vincent and the U.S. You'll also once again find a
16-page booklet packed with info and lyrics, and a portion of the proceeds are still
being donated to Doctors Without Borders
It was an incredible amount of work getting this all together, from the contracts to the lyrics to levelling each track's volume to making the transitions as
perfect as possible. It's a labor of love, though, and I truly feel this 2nd volume will blow you away.
