Zion is a young artist from the island of Dominica and has just released his brand-new disc on Skank Records.
"Strictly Roots" contains 16 tracks and 65 1/2 minutes of crucial Reggae. From the opening tune, "Find I Guilty," through the closing one, "Babylon Walls,"
this is a triumphant release from an artist whose time has come.
Zion is incredibly talented and, in fact, played each instrument on this release. He recorded everything (drums, bass, guitars and keys) then meticulously mixed them all together and the results are extremely strong.
The song flow is also impeccable and the lyrics are once again included in the 16-page
informative booklet. Portions of the proceeds are, as usual, being donated to Doctors Without Borders, aka Medicines Sans Frontieres.
This is truly another fantastic disc on Skank Records. It's crucial, modern Reggae. Check it out.
